There are only two different types of cars - Economy and Business - but different fares depending on when you buy and how refundable or exchangeable you need the ticket to be, and obviously the cheaper fares sell out more quickly than regular price. Then you'll need to wait for the next train to Québec City, and there are 5 departures daily Mon-Fri and 3 on Sat-Sun, although I was just looking at the site and saw them advertising "up to 10 departures a day" - no idea how they came up with that figure, and it certainly is not because they just doubled the service on that route!Īll in all, that means a LOT of waiting, so probably, the 747 shuttle is the way to go.įor train tickets: you can get better prices ("Escape" fare they call it) by booking early. That all sounds nice, BUT: that means you're stuck at the Dorval station, out in the suburbs, with nothing to do, until the next train from Toronto or Ottawa comes by to take you to downtown. Via does offer a shuttle bus to the Dorval train station that is very close to the airport the shuttle runs every 20 to 30 minutes, but you have to let them know by calling the station at 51 and then wait at Door 7 on the departures level. then one at 9:30 and another at 11:00 p.m.īy train: Via Rail is the company at and you'll probably have to make your own way to Central Station downtown (Gare centrale, not the same as the bus station), again perhaps by the 747 bus. If the departure times from the airport are not convenient, you can make it to downtown yourself (perhaps using the 747 bus which ends conveniently at the Gare d'autobus), and then catch the Orléans Express bus from there, since there is a bus every hour on the hour from 6:00 a.m. jpg that shows the schedule is at The bus stops at the Gare d'autocars bus station on the eastern edge of downtown before continuing on to Québec City (some also stop in Longueuil just over the bridge). it's hard to find on the site, but a link to the latest. Orléans Express runs the intercity busses between Montréal and Québec (and indeed, to many other destinations, although not all) and they offer 7 departures per day from Trudeau airport to Québec City, starting at 11:00 a.m. the airport site is good in that gives links to lots of the companies, but there are some specifics that are hard to find.
